WHAT IS THE JAYMYIAN GEORGE STINSON "BRIGHTER FUTURES" SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The Jaymyian George Stinson Brighter Futures Scholarship Award was established to honor, celebrate, and remember the life of Jaymyian George Stinson. Jaymyian’s life was tragically cut short when, at the age of 16, he fell victim to gun violence. 

The Brighter Futures Scholarship will award $5000 annually to one High School Senior from Winston-Salem,NC to assist in college educational costs.  The intent is to award the student $5000 each year they are enrolled in a college or trade school.

Jaymyian loved music and sports and this scholarship award is intended to push young men toward brighter futures by helping to ensure they are able to reach their full potential.

A male student currently enrolled in their senior year of High School in Winston-Salem,NC Forsyth County. An interest in sports and music is a plus.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be involved in extra-curricular activities.

Applicants must be accepted into a 2 or 4 year college or trade school.
